Will will take you
to safe and sandy beach where the River Dronne is clean
and ideal for swimming. There are four water slides and
canoe or boat hire. Away from the beach fishing is
allowed (local permit required). At the rear of the
beach is a children’s play area with swings and slides. |

10-minute walk
Takes visitors to
the centre of the beautiful old town of St. Aulaye, with
its 13th century Church and Chateau overlooking the
town. The town boasts some delightful traditional
restaurants, with excellent menus starting from 12 Euros
per person inclusive of wine. |

Further afield
There are also several places of interest within easy
driving distance. These include Cognac, St. Emilion, Brantome and the
huge Friday Market at Riberac. The quiet roads make the area excellent
for cycling - bike hire is available.
There are also several other beaches and freshwater lakes nearby which
offer excellent swimming and water sports. About 15 minutes drive away
is a nine hole golf course where clubs are available for hire. |
